Lisa welcomed everyone. Trustees attended were Lisa, Mark and Nick. Lisa recapped last week’s discussion and provided some updates. She is still looking into the ID cards.
One of the carers Kevin had already emailed in advance with a couple of further questions after last week’s discussion. Kevin raised how unpaid carers need to be recognised and provided with training. He mentioned how during this pandemic it was very difficult to know what a carer needed to do to be safe. He felt that there should be more information provided in times like this. It was difficult to know also whether to agency carers could visit because of the unknown risks.
Other discussions today were about disabled badges and whether an expired badge could still be used until a certain date. Lisa advised that this should still be checked with the council.
Further discussions about incontinence pads and Kylie sheets were discussed and where to buy incontinence pads at a cheaper price if buying in bulk. Suggested name was the Incontinence Shop. Other personal concerns were also discussed.
Lastly, Lisa then mentioned that she was soon to be meeting the Secretary of State of Health Matt Hancock MP and read out her question which she prepared to ask him which was about visiting rights for family members visiting their loved ones in care homes. It was a good session.
